Biography

William James Rolan Bell, Jr., 78 of Rosebud died Wednesday, January 06, 2010 in a Temple hospital. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday at the First Methodist Church in Rosebud. Burial will follow in the Woodland Cemetery. Family visitation will be held Thursday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home in Cameron.

Mr. Bell, a carpenter/contractor and owner of Rosebud Lumber, was born August 13, 1931 in West, Texas to William James Rolan and Lillian Sophie (Peterson) Bell. He married Sara (Sadie) Miller November 10, 1952 and she preceded him in death on December 29, 2003. He served in the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the First Methodist Church, the Rosebud Lions Club, Rosebud Volunteer Fire Dept. Rosebud Chamber of Commerce, Rosebud/Lot School Board, American Legion and Amvets. His son Mark also preceded him in death.
